How do plaster and limewash work on a media wall?
Mineral finishes give a soft, cloudy surface that makes a TV recede. Limewash is applied like paint but behaves differently, and the product sheets are specific about where and how to use it.
What does a typical build look like?
A primed, sound wall receives a sealer or undercoat and then thin coats of limewash brushed in overlapping strokes. Plaster systems build up trowelled layers.

What framing and blocking does it need?
The finish adds no real load, so standard framing works; blocking for the TV bracket is still installed before the wall is closed.
What substrate goes behind it?
Whatever the product sheet names, typically a primed drywall surface with the specified undercoat.
How heavy is it?
A few coats of paint-like material; negligible for framing purposes.
How does it behave in Florida humidity?
The Graphenstone sheet ties its drying times to 25°C and 60% relative humidity, so damp days slow things down. Porter’s keeps its limewash out of wet areas.
How is it finished and maintained?
Limewash is matte and variable by design. Touch-ups blend better when the same batch and technique are used.
What does it pair well with?
Oak or walnut shelves, bronze-toned metal and warm white light. A mineral wall also calms a busy stone or slat feature beside it.
